Burley-in-Wharfedale's Scott Thwaites produced a courageous ride to take the bronze medal in the Commonwealth Games men's road race.
Victory went to Geraint Thomas of Wales with New Zealand's Jack Bauer just beating Thwaites in a sprint finish.
It was a great achievement for Thwaites who had to contend with pouring rain and a saturated course throughout.
Thwaites' bronze medal came just hours after Otley's Lizzie Armitstead won gold in the women's road race. It completed a great afternoon for Wharfedale cycling.
