Ben Rhydding Ladies 4 Sutton Coldfield 2
BEN Rhydding Ladies secured their first win in four games against a Sutton Coldfield side who were sitting two places behind them in the Investec Conference North League.
The game was played at a fast pace and it was the home side who scored first with Jenny Wilson pouncing onto a loose ball at the far post.
Sutton hit back, quickly converting two chances in the last two minutes of the first half.
Rhydding regrouped at half-time and with some calming words from coach Vicky Joel and a change in defensive tactics.
Rhydding dominated the second half with Kate Hesketh taking full advantage of a tiring Sutton Coldfield side and helping herself to a brace, before Amy Cordukes deflected home a well-executed penalty corner as the last action of the match.
A fantastic 4-2 win for the Yorkshire Side to give them the confidence going into a tough match against Beeston at home on Saturday.
