BEN Rhydding hosted Neston in an eventful and erratic game which ended in a 3-3 tie.
Poor marking and loose concentration from Rhydding saw Neston take a 1-0 lead. Neston made it 2-0 minutes later with a free player in the circle.
Rhydding replied with a corner from Myles Locke, but it was disallowed. He repeated this shortly after to get the score back to 2-1.
Will Musgrave levelled when he scored from a corner. With five minutes left, Rhydding’s earned a penalty, which Musgrave converted to give the home side a 3-2 lead.
Desperate defending drew a penalty stroke for Neston in the dying embers of the game as the visitors claimed a draw.
* Ben Rhydding Women played a strong Leicester side in the league on Saturday, taking an early lead through an Amy Cordukes goal. Leicester pulled one back to make the final score 1-1.
On Sunday, the ladies won 2-1 at Timperley to advance to the last 16 of the England Hockey Cup.
