THERE was a late Christmas present for teenage Guiseley striker Adam Haw, as he signed a first-team contract on Boxing Day.
The academy graduate has impressed when given his chance in the National League North and FA Trophy this season.
He grabbed a crucial equaliser off the bench to ensure a 1-1 draw at Kettering in the league last month, before netting deep into injury-time to clinch a 2-0 home win over Chorley in the Trophy two weeks ago.
At present, the 18-year-old tends to be used off the bench, where he found himself for the Boxing Day draw against Farsley Celtic.
But he did make his first start on December 1, in a 2-0 league win at Spennymoor Town, where he set up Andy Kellett's opener.
Haw is a local boy too, as he hails from Ilkley.
