THE Aire-Wharfe Cricket League have raised concerns about the issues that were observed in accessing the scores and scorecards on Saturday afternoon, despite assurances from the ECB that these would be resolved ahead of the 2023 season, following similar issues experienced last season.
The matter has been escalated with the ECB and the league authorities continue to work with other local leagues to ensure that the ECB gives this matter the full attention it deserves in order to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
Ilkley’s Aire-Wharfe Division Two campaign began with a defeat with visitors Follifoot claiming a 29-run victory after batting first and reaching a target of 163. The hosts were bowled out for 134 (33.1).
As for Otley, their Division One campaign got off to a flying start at reigning champions Rawdon. The visitors elected to bat first and reached a 251 total, before bowling the hosts out for 249 to claim a huge opening day victory.
