MENSTON Crompark were involved in one of the most exciting matches of the day in the Mewies Solicitors Craven League.
They won the toss at Ingrow in their Wynn Cup mini-league contest and made 189-7, with Satnam Thiara (25) and Robert Hodgson (59) adding 68 for the second wicket.
Ali Malik weighed in with 35, but Ingrow won by two wickets with an over to spare.
In the John Clayton Cup, Menston Crompark’s second team went down by five wickets at home to Gargrave II.
Sent in, Crompark made 131-9, an innings which was dominated by Ali Asghar’s 60, aided by 21 from Aidan Goodall.
Daniel Biddulph then took 2-20 and Owen Pothecary 2-30 but it was to no avail.
