MENSTON Crompark produced a minor upset in Division Three of the Mewies Solicitors Craven League.
The newcomers, who are fourth, comprehensively defeated third-placed Gargrave II at High Royds, closing to within two points of them with one match left.
Runs down the order enabled Crompark to score 200-9, headed by skipper David Holder (33) and keeper Sam Rhodes (32), who added 66 for the eighth wicket with Qasim Hassan (24).
Gargrave recovered from 38-5 but the nine-man visitors were dismissed for 101, with Rob Binley taking 3-23, Will Morgan 3-28 and Tom Holder 2-6.
Menston Crompark II lost a thriller at Denholme II by five runs in Division Four.
The home side made 179-3 but Crompark were dismissed for 174, despite 55 from Haroon Rashid, 28 from Tom Brooksbank and 20 from Tim Yeardley.
