MENSTON Fourths have dropped from second to sixth after tasting defeat in Division Three of the Timothy Taylor’s Craven League.
They sent in leaders Cowling II at High Royds, Tom Holder taking 3-21, Qasim Hassan 4-14 and 15-year-old Ollie Holder 2-12 as the visitors were dismissed for 117.
Menston were out of the picture at 67-7 until a partnership of 32 for the eighth wicket between Hassan (31) and 14-year-old Elliot Harrison (16).
However, having got the score up to 99, Menston then lost their last three wickets for just one to be back in the pavilion for 100.
In Division Four, Menston Fifths have dropped to the bottom of the table after their spare week, Long Lee II climbing above them with a fine win at Glusburn II.
