AFTER the defeat of second-placed Silsden II, Menston IV are one of four teams seemingly in the mix for the other promotion berth behind Long Lee in Division Three of the Timothy Taylor’s Craven League.

Meanwhile, Menston V were involved in one of the games of the day.

They sent in Hepworth & Idle III at High Royds in their Division Four clash, and the visitors made a decent 184-3.

Opener Haroon Rashid then put Menston on course after tea by scoring 58 off 76 balls, including eight fours, adding 70 for the second wicket with Matthew Bradley (12).

However, the score then became 109-5 before Rory Southern (53 off 48 balls, including nine fours) put on 69 with Ali Asghar, who scored 35 not out off 39 balls, including four fours, as Menston won by four wickets with three balls to spare.
