MENSTON, sent in at Sandy Lane, were dismissed for 76 by hosts Bradford & Bingley III in their Division Three clash of the Timothy Taylor’s Craven League.
Only Paul Smith (18) and Owen Pothecary (10no), at opposite ends of the innings, reached double figures as the visitors were back in the pavilion inside 28 overs.
Elliot Harrison then took 3-16 but Bingley won by six wickets in the 18th over, rising to fourth at Menston’s expense.
There was batter news from Menston V against Haworth II at High Royds in Division Four.
Haworth were sent in and dismissed for 109 in 26 overs, despite 50 not out from Chris Smith, with Isaac Rashid (3-23) and Dan Woodthorpe (2-5) the best of the seven bowlers used.
Rashid then showed his all-round quality with 24, but Henry Dodgson did better with the bat, hitting 45 not out and adding 50 with Rashid for the third wicket as Menston won by seven wickets in the 23rd over to remain eighth in the table.
