AIRE-WHARFE League Premier Division champions Otley were in no mood to let their concentration slip in the penultimate game of the season, writes Bill Marshall.

They dismissed hosts North Leeds for 180 after winning the toss, Damon Reeve taking 4-28 and Roby Lane 4-67 after an opening stand of 96.

Otley then breezed to victory by eight wickets inside 26 overs, with opener George Myers making 90 off just 58 balls, putting on 140 for the second wicket with skipper Josh Atkinson (73 not out).

Burley found things almost as easy at home to Pool, who totalled 173 after winning the toss, Charlie Bell (46) adding 87 for the fourth wicket with Robert Goldthorp (44) as the wickets were shared around.

The home side were then 10-2 but partnerships of 43 and 46 steadied the ship, with contributions from Dan Revis (41), Charles Davy (37), Jason Wright (32) and Mark Harrison (30no) as they won by four wickets in the 41st over.

Rawdon, who have found form too late to save themselves from relegation alongside hapless Bilton, made it three wins from four, triumphing emphatically at Adel by six wickets, thanks to Tom Wrigglesworth’s magnificent 140 not out in a successful chase of 255.

In Division One, mid-table Guiseley were thumped by 165 runs at third-placed Ilkley, who have missed out on promotion to Addingham and Beckwithshaw.

Harden and Bardsey have already gone down from the second tier.

Division Two champions Menston won by 10 wickets at Skipton, with Kirkstall Educational going up alongside them.

Menston’s fourths and fifths play in the Timothy Taylor’s Craven League, and the former won their final game of the season by 92 runs to come fifth in Division Three.

The fifths, who were without a game in Division Four, ended their campaign in seventh.
