MEMBERS of Otley Squash Club (OSC) in Cross Green Otley are increasingly playing racketball as well as squash.
Both games can be played on a squash court, but racketball is much easier for beginners to learn with a shorter racket and a larger, bouncier ball.
Racketball is also attractive to experienced squash players because it is not as fast a game and has less impact on ageing knees.
OSC is lucky to have a qualified Squash Coach who is arranging free taster sessions in October for new and existing members to be introduced to racketball.
Racketball is particularly attractive to children and teenagers and OSC is introducing a number of initiatives for younger players to join the club so they can enjoy the game.
